BEACH COTTAGE ON WHEELS...CHECK!
Info Post
So here it is...my new part time beach home. The transition from respectable homeowner to beach bum.
This has been no easy week of searching for a suitable temporary beach home. It had to suit me, the hubby and twin grand daughters who will be using the RV on the weekends.
There is no shortage of RV parks at Crystal Beach...there are varying degrees of "whatthehell is going on here?" The plan is for me to use my son and daughter in laws RV during the week and return home on the weekends. They will then use the RV for the weekends. I saw RV's with about 50 large see thru trash bags piled as high as an RV, filled with Bud cans in one park. Another park was the current residence of all beach going horders. Yet another park was, I am sure, home to a serial killer I saw on the wall in the Post Office. There was no way I was exposing the grands to that.
On my final trip this week, I used good old social media and found Paulas. Just when I was giving up hope, there it was.
The perfect temporary home, in a gated RV community. Ah, the sweet smell of success. I signed a three month lease and plan to be in and beachin' it in a few days. Hubby and my son never even knew what hit 'em! I am pretty sure I covered all the bases. I think my daughter in law will love the amenities, and like me, the lack of beer drinking, hoarding, serial killer types. We are still on the look out for a RV of our own, but have stalled the process until we come back from Cabo.
So if you can't find me, and I somehow have left the phone in the beach cabin on wheels, drive right on down Crystal Beach Rd to the south. The chic sitting on the sand without a care in the world...that will be me!
