chores that come with a hundred year old house and five acres that it sits on. It has taken me a while to get a groove going, I tend to be a workaholic, sometimes coming home late into the evening. Coming home doesn't mean I stop working. Like all good executives I have multiple electronic devices that allow me to never take a non-working minute. I often work via computer late into the evening.
I am delighted to announce that I have finally begun and almost finished a tabletop I will be using at the tiny beach house on wheels on the deck. I found the initial design on Pinterest and painted it on a 36 inch round tabletop. I still need to add some interest and resin the top, but that is on my check list for Thursday when I will once again take up residence beach side.

This project could actually be termed a "performance piece." I painted the bulk of it in the Rally Room at the RV park. This room is screened in with a huge flat screen TV to watch. Most of the park visitors come home from the beach, take showers in the changing area right outside the Rally Room and then wander through. For four weeks I think I answered questions about the table, myself, the paint from every child in
the park. I talked to at least half the parents because the children usually drug them back to see the table. I then went through round two of the same questions for mom or dad. It was the first time I was ever considered an "artist in residence." I kinda liked it.
There are two chairs that I have been working on also but those are for another post. I love the dabbing technique I used on the table, it is fun. I just might have to do a few more.
