Info Post
Today's an ebb day at the beach.  All day long the beach goers will be packing up and cleaning the rentals they called home for the week.  They'll take that one last dip in the sea, take a deep breath, and start on the journey home with lasting memories in their cameras.

I"ve spent many summers in my life with the same ebb at the end of a beach vacation.  It's not always been here at Crystal, but others in places like South Carolina, California, Florida, Chile, and Mexico. This year is a Mexico beach year.  When Salty first asked if I wanted to go to Cabo San Lucas, I was very non-commital.  I think I mustered a "sure."  Visions of drunk 21 year olds ran fleetingly through my head but it was on Salty's bucket list (Cabo...not the 21 year olds).

Our first visit started out in a hotel right downtown; translation: loud and busy.  The hotel was nice, right on the wharf, and in the middle of town.  The very first day there a young woman puked in the palm tree by the pool.  To finally get the hotel concierge to stop calling us, we accepted free coupons for area attractions by visiting a resort called Pueblo Bonito at Sunset Beach.  This is a large hotel resort and sells fractionals to fantastic single unit villas overlooking the Pacific Ocean that we could never ever approach purchasing by ourselves..... as a whole.

I wrote an earlier article about Cabo, you can read it here: http://bohemianbeachjunque.blogspot.com/2012_02_05_archive.html

We could, however, swing purchasing two weeks every other year.  Many folks really "diss" fractionals or time shares but we have used ours to its fullest extent. It's currently one of Salty's part time jobs to find spots for us to vacation.  I'm a workaholic and would probably never really take a vacation if it wasn't for Saltys' insistence and the time share and fractional...but I'm not writing to sell you on time shares. They did upgrade our hotel experience that very day and my opinion of Cabo San Lucas went viral.  I was hooked.

So we purchased a fractional in Montecristo Estates by Pueblo Bonito.  At times, Salty bemoans our
impetuous behavior but me, not ever once.  I live for this trip.  I think about it when things are tough at work; I think about it when I need a dose of beauty and quiet.  The only thing I regret about it is the ebb of saying goodbye to our Mexican beach house.

This is the first Cabo vacation I will be spending the full two weeks.  My job before just didn't lend itself to a 14 day absence.  I'm going to sit around, sleep, eat, and soak in the stunning view.  When the kiddos come along in the middle of the first week, we'll surf, pool hop, and drink Funky Monkeys (the adults that is; not the kids).
Lunch at Los Cerritos Beach.

I'm leaving my work phone, my work computer, and my bunny car with the very capable young woman who'll be filling in for me at work for those two weeks.  The only liquor related work I plan to think about is drinking Tequila and the endless varieties they have in Mexico.

Come to think of it Tequila will probably help with the impending ebb during the two weeks we're there.   "Hasta la vista" friends and readers.
