Info Post
My day at work was relatively calm, thanks heavens, so I was ready for adventure on the way home.  Nothing interesting happened on the ferry. I was afraid I was destined for an uneventful evening when I saw this sign:

Who sees a sign like this and decides to eat there?  Well, uhhmm...me.  I have passed this sign coming off the ferry every day since moving to Crystal.  The mature me was just sure it might be an invitation to be murdered.  The immature me said, "Hell,Yea!"  So I made the turn.

Port Bolivar is a very small town near the ferry.  It looks like it has seen better times or maybe just one or two too many hurricanes.  Ike was enough to do most any coastal in, but Port Bolivar survives.

The trees represent the way the town looks, a little bare, slightly leaning but oddly cool.  La Playita turned out to be a sweet little metal building with even sweeter garden of  flowers in front.

I love zinnias and these were beautiful.  If the care that went into the zinnias went into the food, I was going to be a happy diner.

I ordered simply.  Three cheese enchiladas, rice and beans.  The food was awesome.  The atmosphere Mexican Kitsch.  The wait staff very friendly.  A great one hour adventure and a happy diner!
