Info Post
I've received several compliments on my tan lately.  Some of those commenters closer to my age ask if I have been "laying out."  If you didn't grow up speaking South East Texan the term "laying out" means you
spend hours in the sun, on a towel, in your back yard.  Younger commenters want to know where I am tanning at. That is twenty something speak for the tanning salon.  Like I have time for either version.

I smile and answer back, I tan twice a day. They are impressed with my organizational skills.  How can I psoobly tan twice a day on my schedule?  But I do.  My first tan of the day is on the ferry going to work, my second tan of the day is on the ferry coming home.  Twice a day, just like clockwork.

I have reached the "are you crazy?" age when I see folks laying out for hours tanning.  I did all my damage at 16, long before any of the currently available information would have sent my mother into overdrive.  If my mother had this info back then my sisters and I probably would have never even been let out of the house when the sun was shining.  My mom was a good mom always on the look out for her childrens safety.

The damaging part of the sun aside, I have seen some really lousy tans here at the beach.  Orange, rust, brown, mottled...

and on several sad occasions this chick...
