We revisited Todos Santos today and finally after five years of visiting decided to go beach hunting. If you were to ever watch a documentary on giant wave surfers Todos Santos is always mentioned. It is the home of large dangerous surf conditions. This is where surfers can be towed out to huge 50 ft waves by a wave runner and then attempt to surf the waves.
We just knew that we could find an awesome beach if we got out of our comfort zone and did some adventuring. We got some sorta kind directions and went off. We followed a dirt road that was lush and over grown. I didn't have the good sense to video the journey to the beach but I did video the ride back.
The really amazing thing about the beach we ended up on is the absolute pristine environment we found. It
is a nesting ground for sea turtles and there was a spot marked and fenced in that contained eggs.
No cars were allowed on the beach and the sand that I had to walk through to get these shots was so hot I was sure it was going to blister my feet. Myself, Salty and two friends were the only humans on the beach. It was so devoid of sound that the waves crashing onto the beach were deafening. It was amazing.
There was no doubt it was unsafe for swimming. I took these videos:
