Info Post
I have a lot of nervous energy...big surprise.  In order to sit for any length of time, I have to be occupied in some way.  It can be reading, folding clothes, watching tv but it has to be something.  I was casting about trying to find something that was portable, colorful and would keep my attention when I found Zentangles.

To be honest I've been pinning Zentangles for quite a while now.  They are doodles.  You know, the things running down every page you have that is associated with a boring phone call, meeting or just being bored.
For years I had a particular doodle I used all the time.  A simple flower with grass.

The inspiration for my tabletop came from a mix of Zentangle and Mandala.  Mandalas are a form of
circular meditation.  You start in the middle of the circle and work your way out to the edges.  I did not know it was actually a form of meditation until the table was nearly finished.  I did realize during the
process of painting the table that it calmed me more than anything I had done before. It has something to
do with the repetition, I will research and report back.

So I am Zentangling my vacation away.  It helps that the colors in Mexico are off the chart beautiful.  There
is literally inspiration everywhere I look.  We are visiting La Paz this afternoon, La Paz is an art colony about 45 minutes away...my kinda digs.  It should help that I had a Crystal Reiki treatment at the spa today to clear my chakras and create  peaceful balance in my system.  Who Doo Voo Doo and art all in one day, I am in heaven!
