Good morning Junque lovers! We are finally arriving at the final step of the glass candleholders. In the Pottery barn catalog these remained clear glass, however, this didn’t give me the impact I wanted so I began to play with them. I first painted them a matte silver/gray, then white, and finally hammered black. I used a Rustoleum spray paint purchased at Wal-Mart for around $5.00.
Spray evenly, and cover the candleholders entirely. Let dry. Always spray in a well ventilated area. One of the candleholders will probably be too tall for the mantle I have chosen (we have four, hey…excess is always success, right?!), I will be using this
same technique on a lamp base I found. I will point it out in a future post next week.
And, yes, the picture is taken where I actually work. Junque in
the background is all awaiting future glory in a new incarnation!
You can receive the projects by mail when you sign up as a subscriber...I love to share!
