I needed two hat stands for the next project, hats. I had in my stash these two oldish lamps that were in good conditione but needed rewiring. I cut the electical wires off, unscrewed the top, removing the light bulb housing. There was an additional post coming up from the round balls that I removed also. The lamp on the right has a better view of a small hole that would have been difficult to work with or add a candle to. |

I turned this part of the lamp over and glued it to the base. The opening at the top is now big enough to accomodate a candle or will make it easier for me to glue a plate onto it and set a candle on top of the plate. Any of the projects in this mantle composition can be used singly for any number of projects. Most of my projects have about 10 coats of spray paint on them because I often change with the seasons. |

I spray painted the entire newly made candlestick silver. It and its sister now are just awaiting the hats! I will be busy finishing and taking pics of the hats over the weekend...see ya Monday! |
